At first the trail rises steeply up to the pass of Tizi ‘n Tamatert (2279m) after which we descend on the far side to Tacheddirt (2300m) in the Imenane Valley where we set up camp near the riverside, or sleep in local accommodation, according to the season. 1.5 hours transfer and 4 hours walking, approximately.

Walk from Tacheddirt to Imsker
We walk from Tacheddirt to Imsker (1300m) by following the Imenane Valley downstream through a string of Berber villages: Ouaneskra, Tamegguiste, Ikis, Amssakrou and then Arg. At Imsker, there is the possibility of either spending the night in a local gite or in tents, depending on the season. 5 hours walking, approximately.
